Outrage over Trump’s taxes is misplaced

Why should anyone pay $1 more in income tax than the law requires? If the law permits multiyear loss carry-forwards, Donald Trump is being smart in taking advantage of it. If he is in compliance with the law then Linda Martinez’ outrage (Letters, Oct. 3) is misplaced. As to our tax dollars making a difference to many, among these beneficiaries is the government of Iran, which recently received a pallet of our cash.
