Hard-working Moore has earned re-election

-

On Nov. 8, voters in Santa Clara County Open Space Authority District 4 have a choice for the board of directors.

Incumbent Dorsey Moore is qualified, smart, dedicated and hard-working. He has a MBA in Sustainable Management, is executive director and CEO of the San Jose Conservation Corps and served on the Open Space Authority’s Citizens Advisory Committee before election to the board. During his tenure he chaired the board, and the OSA purchased more than 3,000 acres of land and opened a new preserve.

His opponent is termed out San Jose City Councilman Pierluigi Oliverio, who has been criticized for wanting to use the OSA as a stepping stone to higher office.

I don’t know what’s in Oliverio’s heart or mind. But I do know this: In the 13 years I worked to establish and then volunteered for the Open Space Authority, I don’t recall Oliverio ever being involved.
