Based on a picture book by Marla Grazee and directed by Tom McGrath. “Ghost in the Shell” (PG-13): Scarlett Johansson plays a human/cyborg hybrid leading an elite force that fights criminals and extremists, but also secretly trying to track down those who lied to her about her past. With Michael Pitt, Takeshi Kitano and Pilou Asbaek. Based on the Japanese comic, and directed by Rupert Sanders. “In Search of Israeli Cuisine” (Unrated): Roger Sherman’s documentar­y profiles profession­al chefs, skilled amateur cooks, farmers, vintners, cheesemake­rs and more to discover the country’s best multicultu­ral dishes. In limited release. “The Zookeeper’s Wife” (PG13): Jessica Chastain plays a Warsaw woman who works with her husband to help Jews from the Ghetto survive when Germany invades in 1939. With Johan Heldenberg­h, Michael McElhatton and Daniel Brühl. Adapted by Angela Workman from the nonfiction book by Diane Ackerman. Directed by Niki Caro.
