1700 block of Noranda, 1:14 p.m. April 3 According to police, a woman was heard screaming in an apartment complex, and was kidnapped. She was located later in Cupertino. 1000 block of Morse, 7 p.m. April 3 Police say someone entered an apartment by prying open the front door. Apparently, he fled after hearing the resident awaken. Nothing was reported stolen. 400 block of North Wolfe Road, 2:17 a.m. April 3 Someone entered an secured undergroun­d parking garage and looked into vehicles. Police arrived and determined he had broken into a car and possessed stolen items. 600 block of North Bayview, 9:27 p.m. April 2 Witnesses told police someone tried to break into a vehicle. A resident also reported someone breaking into his car, and that person threatened him and tried to get the keys to that vehicle. Police arrived and placed him under arrest.

PALO ALTO

800 block of Alma Street, noon April 4 A bicycle was reported stolen. 400 block of Lambert Avenue, 10:11 p.m. April 4 Police say a car window was smashed and items were stolen. Two other vehicles on El Camino Real suffered the same fate a few hours earlier. 1100 block of Waverley Street, 3:35 p.m. April 4 Someone vandalized property.

NEWARK

5400 block of Saint Mark Avenue, 10:36 p.m. April 4 Police say someone stole a 2009 Yamaha ATV. NewPark Mall, 4:40 p.m. April 4 According to police, someone walked into Victoria’s Secret and stole approximat­ely 45 bras. 36500 block of Olive Street, 4:04 p.m. April 4 Someone smashed a car window and stole clothing and paperwork.
