Nationals 3, Phillies 2: On his bobblehead day, Daniel Murphy hit a game-ending RBI double in the bottom of the 10th. Brewers 10, Reds 4: Bay Area native Eric Thames homered for the second straight night and drove in three runs, helping Milwaukee to its fourth straight victory. Royals 7, Angles 1: Danny Duffy gave up a run on a Mike Trout first-inning single, but retired 15 of the last 16 batters he faced and improved to 8-0 in his past 16 Kauffman Stadium starts. Rays 10, Red Sox 5: Logan Morrison hit a grand slam and Shane Peterson homered in his first big league at-bat since 2015, two of the career-high four homers allowed by Boston Cy Young Award winner Rick Porcello. Braves 5, Padres 2: Ender Inciarte hit the first home run in baseball’s newest stadium, local product Nick Markakis drove in the first two runs and Atlanta won the regularsea­son debut for SunTrust Park before a sellout crowd of 41,149. Blue Jays: Third baseman Josh Donaldson was plaed on the 10-day disabled list with a sore right calf. White Sox: Chicago became the first team in major league history to start three outfielder­s with the same last name: Avisail Garcia in right field, Leury Garcia in center field and Willy Garcia in left. They are not related. There have only been three games in major league history in which an outfield has been filled with players of the same name, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Brothers Felipe, Matty and Jesus Alou all appeared in the outfield for the Giants in three games in September of 1963, but they never started together. Each time, one was added as a defensive replacemen­t Dodgers 7, Diamondbac­ks 1: Clayton Kershaw outpitched former teammate Zack Greinke and Andrew Toles hit a two-run homer. Kershaw allowed four hits, struck out eight and walked one in 8 1 ⁄3 innings. Greinke lasted just five innings.
