— Michael Jones, Gilroy “The dive-bombers on Lark Avenue at Los Gatos Boulevard are ubiquitous, like flies on a (you get the picture).”

Q Am I wrong for not letting dive-bombers dive in front of me?

My route to work involves many areas prone to rude, dangerous dive-bombers. I do not let them in when they try to cut in front of me. I stay close to the car ahead, normally at slow speeds due to traffic, etc. I do this so that perhaps this will get the dive-bombers to stop divebombing in the future.

I am not the only one who does this. I’ve seen many frustrated drivers do the same to these careless divebombers. Art Federico San Jose A I haven’t harped about dive-bombers for some time. But it’s the topic for today. Q While commuting to Palo Alto off Highway 237, I realized something near the Zanker Road exit. All of those dive-bombers who move into the turn lane, zoom up and shove their way back into traffic at the end have a psychological problem.

With a kind of stupid cunning, they think they have “outsmarted” traffic. How dismal must their lives be that they have to get their ego boost by treating traffic like a video game to be won?

I wish we could implement George Carlin’s idea of shooting suction arrows or paint balls on these people’s cars. After a certain number of arrows, they get a ticket. After more tickets, they lose their license.

Are you in? Donna Hobbs Boulder Creek A There might be a nationwide shortage of arrows or paint. Q I realize this is a very congested intersection at commute time, but people turning right onto Narvaez Avenue near Highway 87 in San Jose don’t want to wait their turn. So they turn right into the straightonly lane and then drive up a bit further to turn on their blinker to squeeze into the line of cars waiting to get to the ramp, not caring if other cars can get by them or if they block the driveway to the nearby day care so people can’t get in or out.

Please don’t use my name. I do not want any retribution. J.S. San Jose A Understood. Q The dive-bombers on Lark Avenue at Los Gatos Boulevard are ubiquitous, like flies on a (you get the picture). Michael Jones Gilroy A Now that’s an interesting way to describe their antics. Isn’t there anything positive to be said? Q No need to worry about dive-bombers on Interstate 80. Everybody is going so slowly that the worse problem I’ve seen are people nodding off and drifting into my lane. Mike Takacs Crockett A I’ll accept that today.
