SOUTH BAY/PENINSULA Patrick Wicklander, Valley Christian Sport: Baseball Position: Pitcher Class: Senior Struck out 18 while throwing a no-hitter as Valley Christian — the No. 1 team in MaxPreps’ national computer rankings — defeated Archbishop Riordan 7-0 in San Francisco. In the process, the Arkansas-bound left-hander went over 300 strikeouts for his high school career (he began this week with 314) and lowered his ERA to 0.98. Ilona Sullivan, The King’s Academy Sport: Softball Position: Pitcher Class: Junior Struck out 19 and did not allow a hit — plus had two hits and scored a run — as The King’s Academy defeated Notre Dame-Belmont 3-0. It was the season debut for Sullivan, who had a sit-out period after transferri­ng from Mountain View. In her next outing, the Santa Clara commit allowed just one earned run in a 2-1 loss to Salinas. EAST BAY Jake Crittenden, Granada Sport: Baseball Position: Catcher Class: Senior Finished with three hits, including a double, drove in three runs and scored a run as Granada outlasted crosstown rival Livermore 10-7. Also had three hits, including a double, and knocked in four runs to lead Granada to a 13-1 victory over Washington-Fremont. Began this week batting .411 with 15 RBIs. Danielle Williams, Amador Valley Sport: Softball Position: Pitcher Class: Senior Struck out 13 and allowed just two hits without a walk as Amador Valley defeated then-No. 1 Foothill 1-0 in East Bay Athletic League play. Two days later, the Northweste­rnbound standout struck out 17 while yielding just two hits without a walk in a 3-0 victory over San Ramon Valley. Also had a double and drove in two runs against SRV as Amador Valley improved to 11-3 on the season.
