Walnut Creek’s 310 Eatery reopens in Albany

-

It’s like something out of a food and beverage movie. 310 Eatery owner Aaron Fong has opened a restaurant in the very space where he first started his career: in the Albany digs formerly housing Grazzy Burgers at 747 San Pablo Ave. That’s where Fong first worked as a busser and server in 2013.

A year later, in 2014, he would open 310 Eatery in downtown Walnut Creek, where his brand of Los Angeles fusion comfort dishes like bacon jam fries and 405 Traffic Jam burger gained a following. 310 Eatery later moved into The Redux Lounge Walnut Creek, and, in late 2017, Fong set out to find a new space. That space has been found.

But 310 Eatery in Albany has the same menu, including pork belly sliders, Tokyo po’boy and pineapple duck fried rice. The Albany location is also more convenient for the restaurant’s budding catering business, which takes it to Fortune 1000 companies in San Mateo and San Francisco.

According to Fong, 310 Eatery is working on obtaining the proper licensing to create a selfservice craft beer tap system similar to the one found at Ghirardelli Square’s new San Francisco Brewing Co. Stay tuned.

And, for the perfect blockbuster ending, Fong says that 310 Eatery is planning a return to downtown Walnut Creek, most likely in the summer of 2019. Fingers crossed.

DETAILS >> For now, 310 Eatery’s soft opening hours in Albany through the end of May will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, noon to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
