BIGGEST LITTLE CITY WING
FEST. Family fireworks move into downtown Reno next week with the sixth annual Biggest Little City
Wing Fest July 6 and 7. Presented by THE ROW, over 20,000 pounds of tasty chicken wings are anticipated to be consumed by the thousands of attending festivalgoers.
The local event has grown to attract wing cookers from throughout the country including California, Colorado, and Montana. Over 20 participants will be on Virginia Street ready to compete with their new and signature sauces.
Previous flavors have ranged from strawberry cheesecake, salted caramel, and spicy buffalo garlic to peanut butter and jelly, dragon sriracha, and maple bacon bourbon, to name a few. Additional food items will include fried calamari with citrus-garlic aoli, chili-loaded fries, chicken and fresh pineapple skewers, teriyaki BBQ beef ribs, corn dogs, corn on the cob and chicken, and more.
Live free entertainment has been added this year with headliners
Uncle Kracker (“Follow Me”) at 7 p.m. on Friday and Grammynominated recording artist David
Nail at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. The music kicks off on Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. featuring Valentine Rodeo, Jake’s Garage 5.0, Jason King Band, and USAF Band of the Golden West.
