Demi Lovato remains hospitalized in stable condition after reportedly suffering a heroin overdose, TMZ and other news sites are reporting.

Lovato, 25, was unconscious when paramedics transported her around noon Tuesday from her Hollywood Hills home to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. Her exact medical condition has not been released, but a friend of the singer reportedly told People magazine she is now “stable.”

TMZ later reported that a relative of Lovato said she was “alert and responsive.”

The singer and actress, known for such songs as “Sorry Not Sorry,” “Cool for the Summer,” “Heart Attack” and “Give Your Heart a Break,” has been dealing with drug and alcohol addiction for years. She addressed those problems in the new song “Sober,” which details how she had relapsed after a number of years of sobriety.

In the moving and confessional piano ballad, the star sings: “I don’t know why I do it every, every, every time. It’s only when I’m lonely. Sometimes I just want to cave in and I don’t want to fight. I try and I try and I try. Just hold me. I’m lonely.

“Mama, I’m sorry I’m not sober anymore. Daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor. To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before. I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore.”

Lovato’s battle had long been with alcohol, cocaine and Oxycontin, according to reports. But it’s unclear what her history might have been with heroin. Lovato just performed at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles with Iggy Azalea, according to TMZ. The star headlined the SAP Center in San Jose in February and performed there during Wild 94.9’s Jingle Ball 2017 in November.

Several celebrities, including recent collaborators, publicly offered support for Lovato on Tuesday.

Singer Kehlani, who opened for Lovato on her recent tour, tweeted that she was “sending huge recovery love to Demi. this is a very personal moment and respected delicately. all we can do is send our best wishes and love.”
