SAN JOSE >> Investigators have released surveillance video and images from a brazen shooting last month outside a South San Jose taqueria that wounded three men and erupted within footsteps of several bystanders, including a small child.

Two men and a woman are being sought in the Aug. 9 attack outside the La Victoria restaurant on Almaden Expressway near Cherry Avenue, which was reported around 10:15 p.m. and appeared to stem from an argument inside the eatery moments earlier, according to San Jose police.

One suspect, shown in the video wearing a darkcolored Golden State Warriors baseball cap, trails everyone involved and is the last to leave the restaurant. Without warning he opened fire on the three victims at close range with a small handgun, in front of a group of patrons, who hurriedly scramble away, including a woman holding onto the hand of a young girl.

Police described the shooter as a Latino man in his 20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing between 165 and 185 pounds. A second suspect was described as a Latino man in his 20s, between 5 feet 9 and 6 feet tall, weighing between 195 and 215 pounds, and appears in the video showing a distinctive tattoo on his left hand and another tattoo on his left temple.

A third suspect was described as a Latina between 18 and 25 years old, standing between 5 feet 3 and 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing between 145 and 165 pounds.

Anyone with information about these suspects, who face potential attempted murder charges, can contact SJPD gang detective Justin Jantz at 408-2773835 or leave a tip with Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers at 408-947-STOP or at svcrimestoppers.org.
