Federal authorities arrest 11 in drugs and firearms crackdown
Suspects from San Jose, Morgan Hill and San Francisco
SAN JOSE >> Eleven Bay Area men are facing charges involving methamphetamine trafficking and the unlawful possession and sale of firearms.
Nine of the defendants are from San Jose, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. The other suspects are from San Francisco and Morgan Hill. Eight of the men were arrested Wednesday; three other suspects were already in custody, according to a Department of Justice news release emailed Thursday.
The arrests stemmed from five separate federal indictments issued between March 8 and Aug. 23, according to the Department of Justice.
Federal prosecutors identified the suspects as:
• Eliseo Martinez, 24, San Jose, charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine
• Daniel Nogueira, 26, San Jose, charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm/ ammunition
• Anthony Lopez, 34, San Jose, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine
• Dereke Holden, 22, San Jose, sale of firearm/ammunition to a felon, distribution of methamphetamine
• Salvador Morfin, 34, San Jose, distribution of methamphetamine
• Zion Korczynski, 25, San Jose, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine
• Oscar Madrigal, Jr., 22, San Jose, sale of firearm/ ammunition to a felon,
• Breann Manuel Alonso, 22, San Jose, unlicensed dealing in firearms, felon in possession of a firearm/ ammunition, distribution of methamphetamine
• Larry Lundy, 51, San Jose, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine
• Shawn Moore, 51, San Francisco, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, felon in possession of ammunition
• Collin Blaudeanderson, 22, Morgan Hill, sale of firearm/ammunition to a felon, felon in possession of a firearm/ammunition
All of the men pleaded not guilty, according to federal prosecutors.
