Welcome home to Aptos Village — creating a civic heart for Aptos

- ADVERTORIAL PROVIDED BY SERENO GROUP

At Aptos Village, it’s all about creating a vibrant community with a social heart — the Village Common. It’s an old idea in keeping with traditional values, neighborly courtesy and “can-do” spirit. Healthy lifestyles are embraced throughout the project and surrounding area by providing convenient access to lively social spaces, recreation, small shops, restaurants, neighborhood events, and historic inspiration. Carefully planned with broad sidewalks, a community green, bicycle parking and convenient car parking, the project is designed around the pedestrian.

Active lifestyles require the right place to unwind. The Village’s residential housing options, starting in the mid-$500,000 range, include one- and twobedroom condominiums with up to 1,400 square feet, three-bedroom townhomes that go up to 1,700 square feet and three-bedroom “cluster homes” up to 2,200 square feet. The reception has been fantastic and homes are selling quickly, so don’t wait to get your choice of home before it’s too late.

Part of what makes this community special is the incredible planning. As a mixed-use development project over a decade in the making, the design utilizes traditional neighborhood planning principles that prioritize great streets, vibrant shops, active parks and generous civic space to promote a healthy community. Ideally located at the entrance to the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park, this is an innovative and resource-efficient project that re-establishes the Village as the civic heart of Aptos.

As part of an ongoing commitment of the builder Swenson toward leadership in sustainable design, the Aptos Village project has registered and applied for LEED for Neighborhood Development certification. What does this mean? That Swenson is investing in Aptos, envisioning future environments that support walkable neighborhoods, physical health, and efficient use of our limited environmental resources.

Swenson has announced that five local businesses plan to join New Leaf Community Markets at Aptos Village: The Penny Ice Creamery, Cat & Cloud Coffee, Sereno Group, Sockshop & Shoe Company and a restaurant led by Michelin three-star chef David Kinch.
