Goodguys 29th Fuelcurve.com Autumn Get-Together presented by CrazyBulk on Nov. 10 and 11

-

PLEASANTON — The stage is set for the final Goodguys event in 2018 in the Bay Area. The 29th Fuelcurve.com Autumn Get-Together presented by CrazyBulk, Nov. 10 and 11, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, will bring together over 2,500 American made or powered candy-colored and chromed hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, trucks of all years for two action-packed days of true American car show fun.

Sunday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day and we will celebrate our nation’s military and all that they do for us. All military, active and retired will get free general admission to the event all weekend. There will be several Veterans Day activities during the event, including the ‘Vettes for Vets — a special parking area and parade each day honoring our veterans, the Young American Patriots performing during the event, presentation of the color guard, and more.

The Pleasanton Military Families will hold a donation drive for their Pack Out program. They will be onsite on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Yellow Gate. Through this program, care packages are shipped to military troops overseas. To donate or get more info, visit www. pleasantonmilitaryfamilies. org. Please help us support and give care packages to our troops.

Highlighting the autumn installment of Goodguys shows, the event will feature an indoor display of trucks — all types, makes, sizes, colors of trucks. Also, check out the Cruiser-Rama, a custom bicycle show dedicated to all things cool with handle bars. These amazing twowheel creations are simply works of art. Another new, cool feature is the Vintage Camper display.

Join us as we welcome back the Hayward Firefighters Local 1909 Charity Demolition Derby to the event on Saturday. All proceeds from the Demo Derby will benefit the Hayward Fire Charity Fund. The demo derby will be divided into three rounds with breaks in between. The rounds are: Figure 8 Chaos, Full Contact Musical Parking Spots and an All-Out Smash-up. For info on the demo derby you can go to http://haywardfirefighters. org/index.cfm?section=1.

Back by popular demand... the Burnout Contest. Everyone loves a good, long smoky burnout and we have just that. On Saturday at 12:30 p.m., participants will compete to see who the burnout champion is. Tech will open for the burnout contest one hour prior to the start. The champion will be crowned by crowd participation.

For those who have the need for speed, competitors in the Goodguys AutoCross, a closed performance race course, take to the track and battle it out in a weekend long contest of speed and skill. New to the Autumn Get-Together is the Fall Shootout presented by Auto Meter. This 16-car field will be qualified on Saturday and take to the track on Sunday afternoon to crown the winner and runner up from the event. This is the final qualifying event before the season finale in Scottsdale, Arizona — The Duel in the Desert at WestWorld of Scottsdale on Saturday, Nov. 17.

The midway, featuring multi-million-dollar custom big rig tractor trailers (a show in and of themselves), offers high-performance parts and accessories. Having the chance to interact directly with manufacturers has long been an appealing aspect of Goodguys events. Throw in a giant used car parts swap meet and car corral and it’s literally autoutopia for any red blooded American with motor oil in their veins.

There are fun things for the kids to do, too at the 29th FuelCurve.com Autumn GetTogether. Keep the kiddos entertained with a coloring contest, crafts, face painting and other kids’ games that will be there too.

The Goodguys 29th FuelCurve. com Autumn Get-Together presented by CrazyBulk gates are open Saturday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

General admission is $20, kids 7-12 is $6. Alameda County Fairgrounds parking is $10. Visit www. good-guys.com to purchase event tickets or to register a show car.
