Bruce Ellet Price, resident of Oakmont in Santa Rosa for 12 years, passed away on November 2, 2018 at the age of 77 in the company of his loving family at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:30am on November 19, 2018 at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, Santa Rosa with Father Epperson presiding. A Celebratio­n of Life reception will follow at 1:00 pm on November 19, 2018 at Oakmont Country Club. Arrangemen­ts are by his family, Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, and Olivet Memorial Park.

Bruce was born in Palo Alto, CA on April 10, 1941 to parents James Francis Price and Zelda Ellet Price. He grew up in Colorado and attended Elementary School through High School in Denver, CO. He Graduated with a B.S. Degree in Business Management from the University of Colorado and earned his Certified Life Underwrite­rs (CLU) Insurance License from American College.

After working for Safeco for over 10 years, he founded and operated Bruce Price Insurance with his wife Diane Price. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Overseas bar, Air Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father, James Francis Price, mother Zelda Ellet Price, brothers, James Francis Price, Jr. and Ralph Ray Price and his daughter, Debra Christine Sabo.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Diane Price, son and daughter-in-law Glen Ellet Price and Tammy Price, son and daughter-in law Gary and Teresa Paden, daughter Kris Paden, grandchild­ren Tyler, Gianna, Jerred, Evan and Kaylee, his sister and brother-in-law, Zelda “Tag” (Price) and Warren Swartz, and his treasured dog, Brody.

Memorials may be given to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in Bruce’s honor at pulmonaryf­ibrosis.org in lieu of flowers to the family. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Jan Sonander, Terry Spenst, FNP, Dr. Ralph DiLisio, UCSF Interstiti­al Lung Disease team, Dr. Gary LeKander, Petaluma Respirator­y Therapy team, Kindred at Home, beloved Oakmont Wii Bowling Club, Sonia Tarshis, Roger and Patty Zaparelli, Lisa Mancina, and the loving Nurses and Palliative Care team at Memorial Hospital.
