• A photo cap­tion that ap­peared in the Nov. 18 Wish Book spe­cial sec­tion and also on page A1 of the Mer­cury News on Dec. 6about Life Moves mis­spelled the name of a home­less shel­ter. It is the Ge­or­gia Travis House.

• A story that ap­peared in the Dec. 7Lo­cal sec­tion of the Mer­cury News er­ro­neously re­ported the lo­ca­tion of a San Jose homi­cide. The killing of 82-year-old Thomas Vi­tanza oc­curred Nov. 29 on Ayer Av­enue, near Ja­pan­town.

• An ar­ti­cle that ap­peared in the Dec. 5Lo­cal sec­tion of the Mer­cury News er­ro­neously re­ported the blood lev­els of chil­dren in two ZIP codes near San Jose’s Reid-Hil­lview Air­port. The story should have said that 2.48per­cent of chil­dren in the 95122 ZIP code and 3.02 per­cent in the 95127 ZIP code showed el­e­vated lev­els of lead in their blood.
