• A photo caption that appeared in the Nov. 18 Wish Book special section and also on page A1 of the Mercury News on Dec. 6about Life Moves misspelled the name of a homeless shelter. It is the Georgia Travis House.

• A story that appeared in the Dec. 7Local section of the Mercury News erroneousl­y reported the location of a San Jose homicide. The killing of 82-year-old Thomas Vitanza occurred Nov. 29 on Ayer Avenue, near Japantown.

• An article that appeared in the Dec. 5Local section of the Mercury News erroneousl­y reported the blood levels of children in two ZIP codes near San Jose’s Reid-Hillview Airport. The story should have said that 2.48percent of children in the 95122 ZIP code and 3.02 percent in the 95127 ZIP code showed elevated levels of lead in their blood.
