Joyce McCaleb

May 12, 1923 - October 22, 2018 Resident of Cupertino

Joy McCaleb passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, October 22, 2018. She was 95.

She was a woman of deep faith, an elementary school teacher for many years in the San Jose School system, and was well read and well-traveled. She was known for her infectious laugh, lifetime friendships, and special trips with the grandchildren and Cousins Camp weekenders.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles McCaleb. Joy is survived by her children; Craig (Eileen) Fleckner, Jana (Dave) Lopez, Don (Jami) McCaleb, Nanci (Randy) Bushner, Kurt (Donna) Fleckner, 10 grandsons and 8 great grandchildren.

Please join us to honor her memory on Wednesday, December 12th, at 1:00 pm at Saratoga Federated Church, with internment beforehand at Los Gatos Memorial Park Cemetery at 11am.

There will be a reception following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her honor to Save the Children Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
