Lorretta Boyarski

Lorretta died on Monday, December 3, 2018, loving wife and the mother of two children. She died surrounded by her family members in San Jose, California. She was 81.

Born on February 3, 1937 in Trenton Nebraska, Lorretta was a nurse for 34 years at Stanford Univeristy Hospital. In 1968 she married Adam Boyarski, moved to Los Altos, and raised two children Lisa and Mike. She was an active member of St. Simon’s parish, volunteered at St. Anthony’s kitchen, enjoyed gardening, traveling, and taking care of her grandkids.

Family and friends remember Lorretta as an exceptional woman. She was openhearted and friendly to all. Her generosity was always delivered with a smile and kind word. Her laughter will be missed.

She is survived by her husband Adam, her sister Ann Morehead, her daughter Lisa Freitas, and son Mike Boyarski and four grandchildren.

The family will hold a vigil rosary service at Spangler Mortuaries in Los Altos on Sunday, December 9 at 4:30pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Simon Church in Los Altos on December 10 at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorretta’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
