River Islands features great lifestyle in Lathrop
River Islands has become one of Northern California’s best-selling masterplanned communities by offering a wide range of home designs and an exceptional lifestyle, at about half the price of homes in the core Bay Area. Located in Lathrop, just across the Altamont Pass and minutes from Tracy, River Islands currently offers nine model home collections representing some of California’s leading homebuilders. These neighborhoods offer sophisticated architecture, three to seven bedrooms and up to 4,000 square feet, and are priced from the
$400,000, $500,000 and $600,000 ranges.
At almost 5,000 acres, the 20-year master plan envisions approximately 11,000 residences, future retail and a business park, which will provide space for offices, research or campus use. The River Islands lifestyle includes parks, trails and playing fields, charter schools for students K-8, neighborhood clubs and teams for bocce, sailing and other recreational activities within the community. A waterfront restaurant and bar, The Boathouse, is a popular meeting place for lunch and dinner. Health and wellness is a cornerstone of River Islands living; its farmers market will be returning in 2019.
At this time of year, as people are making their plans for 2019, visitors should check in at the Welcome Center for an update on open homes which are
scheduled for delivery in December, January and February. Although the offerings vary from neighborhood to neighborhood, the Welcome Center has an updated list of individual homes available for people who are looking for the opportunity to move in early in the year.
With 30 different home designs now available, visitors often plan their home tours around the amenities that best reflect their lifestyles and the locations of the various collections of homes close to those amenities. Some neighborhoods are built on lakes; others are close to parks, schools or trails. One of the collections of homes highlights its proximity to the new major sports fields — six for soccer and a baseball stadium named Islanders Field.
Recreation is a major part of the River Islands lifestyle. Built along the shores of the San Joaquin River, the community has a Delta look and feel.
