Lou Spitters, resident of San Jose, CA passed away on Nov. 28, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of sixteen years, Elizabeth Spitters; his beloved children, David Spitters, Robert Hernandez, Erica (Raul) Lira and Anselmo (Jessica) Hernandez; his grandchildren Isabel, Robert and Girasol Hernandez; his father, Laurence L. (Suzanne) Spitters; his siblings, Mary (Arthur) Casey, Thomas, Peter, Nancy Eaton, Christopher (Norma) and Catherine Spitters. Lou leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lou was born May 17, 1957, in San Francisco, CA, to Mary Ann Heaton Spitters (deceased) and Laurence L. Spitters.

Lou was a loving husband, a loving father, a loving son, an incredible brother, a grandfather, an uncle, a pal, Bruce Springsteen’s #1 fan, a leader, an avid cyclist, a classic car devotee, an Earthquakes fan, a Warrior’s fan, a traveler, an art lover, a music lover, a story teller, a party host, a master at the barbeque, a gardener, a do-it-yourselfer, a dog lover, a hiker, a coach, a goofball who found humor in everything, a back roads driver (unafraid to run out of gas), a spontaneous creator of fun and games, a student of Palo Alto Public Schools, Bellarmine College Prep grad, and a formidable defender on the Bells’ soccer pitch, a Santa Clara University grad, a Washington University Law School grad, and a successful attorney who worked tirelessly for his clients alongside his colleagues. Lou was a strong and sensitive man who was a generous giver of all he had to offer, and a loving friend to many. A more loving, kind, and honest man there never was. Lou will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him.
