David Manuel Muzzio passed away on December 24, 2018 from Neo Blastic Plasmacyto­id Dendritic Cell Neoplasm at his home in Gilroy, CA surrounded by his family. He was born on December 6, 1932 in San Jose, CA to Manuel and Romilda Muzzio. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1950 and San Jose State University in 1954. He joined the United States Army in 1954 and was stationed in Germany until 1956. He married Sylvia Magnani, the love of his life, on March 25, 1961 in Los Gatos, CA. He worked as a middle school science teacher in the Cambrian School District for 36 years. After retiring, David and Sylvia spent their time between Gilroy and Mt Shasta.

David was an adventurer, innovator, and humorist. He and Sylvia went on many amazing trips including a raft trip down the Colorado River and a safari in Kenya. He was also an inspiring innovator, always tinkering or investigat­ing a new “toy” for his beloved cabin in Mount Shasta. Most noteworthy, was his unwavering humor. David was always able to make people smile with a joke or a tease, bring out laughter and lighten the mood in any situation. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia Muzzio, on November 9, 2017. He is survived by his five children, Damian (Julie) Muzzio, Jeanine (Scott) Bura; Lia (Jon) Peterson; Lisa Muzzio (Stephen Bryant) and Marla (Sherman) Leland; 14 grandchild­ren; his identical twin sister, Carol Dudley, older brother Gene (Adele) Muzzio and many close family and friends.

Please join us Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1-5 pm at 2605 Roop Rd. in Gilroy to celebrate his life.
