Top Workplaces nomination deadline is extended to Feb. 15

-

Deadline is one of those words that sounds so final. Yet being flexible is a key element to any successful endeavor. With that in mind — and the knowledge that January work schedules are kicking into high gear — the 2019 Top Workplaces nomination deadline is being extended to Feb. 15.

End-of-the-year duties, events, vacations — they all add up to very full workloads. To keep up with the pace of nominations and ensure a smooth data-gathering operation, the extension provides companies with an extra month to complete the process. While it’s a simple process, everyone’s time is valuable.

But the more important question is: What value does the recognition add?

In the competitive Bay Area, hiring can be more complicated. During the Top Workplaces nomination process a company highlights its goals, work philosophy, quality of life and promotion program among other topics. When you provide vital information about your work strategies, job hunters gain vital knowledge about how things work at your company. What better way to retain top workers? Or attract new employees? Employees who, by the way, care about the values your company is based on: creativity, growth, teamwork, training, advancement and quality time off.

Nominating your company means your employer stands out from the crowd. Now is the time to begin the free process. You can do it!

Previous Top Workplaces discuss the benefits MuleSoft

“Hiring is our No. 1 priority as a company — bringing the right people in at the outset is critical to building a foundation for scaling your culture. Awards like being named a Top Workplace in the Bay Area help us showcase our culture to a broader audience and reach a diverse pool of candidates.

“Being named a Top Workplace is a huge testament to the commitment of every Muley to own our culture and make it awesome. Awards like this one mean so much to us because they are based entirely on employee feedback.”

The Cooper Companies

“We notice this most during the hiring process. Candidates will tell us during an interview that they saw we were ranked as a Top Workplace, and that attracts them to us. We are a relatively unknown employment brand in the Bay Area, so the ranking gives us credibility to candidates who are looking for a great place to work. We feature the ranking in our recruitment brochure as well. I believe this is our ninth straight year ranking as a Top Workplace, and by participating and ranking consistently year-after-year, I think that signals to candidates that we are a dependable employer and committed to our employees.”

The ABD Team

“Founded just under six years ago, ABD has earned Top Workplace recognition for six consecutive years. From the beginning, we focused on creating a strong culture so that our colleagues and clients would choose no other. Combined with our passion for innovation, dedication to service, and desire to give back, the recognition as a Top Workplace in the Bay Area has earned us an outstanding reputation among clients, carriers, partners and the community. We appreciate the honor bestowed to The ABD Team, and acknowledgment of our vision, values, and purpose.

“Our talent acquisition manager shares that almost every candidate mentions our Top Workplace stature as a reason they continue to look at an opportunity at our company. Being a Top Workplace means that expectations are set and we love living up to those expectations!

“As a service-oriented organization, team members enjoy building long-lasting relationships with each other and our clients, and being a Top Workplace means that we’ve created a positive work environment to support those relationships. As a Top Workplace, we love what we do. Because of that — and how sincerely we enjoy our clients and colleagues, it keeps our employees happy. And we believe that balanced happiness leads to shared success.

“Being a Top Workplace allows us to point to our culture as a true differentiator. Many companies will say they have a great culture, but this award validates it. ABD’s culture is built upon our ethos of Work, Love, Play, and we guide our employees to fill each of their work, love and play buckets every day; which means every day is a living example of our culture. We encourage and value balanced lives that result in healthier, happier and more productive employees — and this contributes to being a Top Workplace.

“Having the Top Workplace award on our website and to speak to during interviews makes a difference as we attract and recruit talent. We hear our colleagues proudly discuss that we are an award-winning employer of choice. Another benefit is that as a consulting firm, it is an important recognition to share with our clients and partners, who value working with an amazing and satisfied team.

“The best benefit is the opportunity it affords us to hear what our team is saying about what makes ABD great so that we can all keep doing it.”

Mountz Inc.

“Being named a Top Workplace is a great honor and certainly a source for pride for both the management and employees of Mountz Inc. We believe that maintaining a Top Workplace is a shared accomplishment. Having consistently made it to this A-list since 2014 is a big challenge and one that we welcome with open arms. It pushes us to raise the bar and continually cultivate an environment that not only encourages people to achieve corporate goals but also promotes individuals’ well-being through training,

health and wellness programs, and career development.

“We are grateful for the nurturing and caring atmosphere that the Mountz family has created. Earlier this year, we lost our beloved founder, Don Mountz. We hope that by practicing his values of integrity, hard work, compassion and commitment to community — central to what makes one of the best places to work — that we could be good instruments of making his legacy live on.

“A big thank-you to all our employees for keeping us on this list for five straight years!”
