Inn-escapable >> The Hideaway in Carmel-by-the-Sea

-

The Hideaway, formerly known as the Cobblestone Inn, underwent an extensive renovation in 2016. The result is a 24room boutique hotel that retains a quaintcottage charm, but is enhanced with sleek and modern amenities. It’s a short walk to Carmel Beach and the shops, restaurants and galleries of downtown Carmel.

ROOMS: Accommodations feature a clean and spare design, with a touch of warm wood accents. Our room came with a large gas fireplace, a sleeper sofa, wet bar, mini refrigerator, ceiling fan and a large flatscreen TV. All rooms open up to a cobblestone courtyard situated around a cozy seating area and fire pit.

ZZZ’S: The plush king-size beds are adorned with 250-thread count linens, down comforters and multiple pillows.

SPLASHES: The Hideaway’s beautifully tiled bathrooms contain a large, glass-enclosed shower and stand-alone sink.

EXTRAS: The airy lobby area features a gorgeous wine bar and a large stone fireplace — making it the perfect place to relax, read or enjoy a board game. A complimentary wine-and-cheese reception is offered every evening, and a generous European-style breakfast spread (with meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, fresh pastries, quiches, frittatas and more) gets mornings off to a good start. The Hideaway is pet-friendly and offers loaner bicycles to guests wanting to get out and explore the surrounding area on two wheels.
