Lynn Knapp

Feb. 21, 1946 – Jan. 7, 2019 Morgan Hill

Lynn Knapp, a beloved center of gravity for his family and friends, left this life Jan. 7, 2019 after a severe cycling accident on Jan. 1. He passed surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Bremerton, WA in 1946, Lynn moved with his family to San Jose in 1954. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Kathy. Lynn served in the San Jose Fire Dept for 10 years, then joined the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked as a prosecutor for 23 years. In retirement, he delighted in having more time for golf, flying, and cycling.

Lynn is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 45 years, Kathy Knapp, by his daughters, Caroline Knapp and Rebecca Snyder, and son-in-law, Timothy Snyder, by his four adored grandchildren, Calvin, Garrett, Alice, and Hazel Snyder, and by his brothers, Larry, Randy, Don, and Bryan Knapp and their families.

A celebration of life for Lynn will be held Sat., Feb. 23, at Cinnabar Hills Golf Course, 23600 McKean Road, San Jose, at 11 a.m. All are heartily welcome.
