TripAdvisor’s top U.S. hotels
What makes a great hotel? Is it the service, luxurious amenities or location?
TripAdvisor has just released its 17th annual list of best hotels, as part of the site’s annual Traveler’s Choice Awards. The winning hotels are chosen based on millions of reviews collected from TripAdvisor travelers worldwide during 2018.
The final awards list features 165hotels in the United States, including 22 in California. Among them: San Francisco’s Hotel Drisco in Pacific Heights, Los Altos’ Enchante Boutique Hotel and more.
Surprisingly, not all of the winners are located in big cities or major metropolitan areas. The Inn at Lost Creek in Mountain Village, Colorado, for example, landed in TripAdvisor’s top 10. Also on the list: The French Quarter Inn (No. 1) and Spectator Hotel (No. 3), both in Charleston, South Carolina, and the Hotel Emma (No. 8) in San Antonio, Texas.
