LOVE IS THE WORD
The ancient Greeks had several words for types of love:
Eros
Erotic love.
Philia
Philia is described as friendship, brotherliness, as well as connections of affection and fondness, or liking.
Ludus
This love manifests as flirting, and is greatly associated with young love.
Storge
Affection you feel for family or anyone that you feel to be family. Maybe even a sports team.
Agape
Unconditional love. It has been used in Christianity to explain the love of God for man.
Pragma
Longstanding love. Linked to feelings of compatibility.
Philautia
Love of the self. It can be healthy, or unhealthy if there is an overbearing amount of self-importance.
Mania
Obsessive or possessive love, also related to dependency.
