Week’s concerts: Kacey Musgraves, Nels Cline
It’s time to get out and see some live music in the Bay Area. Our top picks for the week include one of country music’s best singer-songwriters and a can’t-miss show for guitar fans. Kacey Musgraves: The exceptionally talented country/Americana artist — winner of four Grammys this week — just keeps delivering great albums. Musgraves’ latest effort is the pop-flavored “Golden Hour,” one of the most universally acclaimed releases of 2018and Grammy album of the year. The Nels Cline 4: Cline, who is best known for his work in Wilco, visits the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley with his acclaimed two-guitar quartet on Sunday. Tribalistas: The Brazilian rock super group, consisting of Arnaldo Antunes, Marisa Monte and Carlinhos Brown, performs a twonight stand at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Ella Mai: The rising R&B star, who reportedly draws much influence from Lauryn Hill, supports her self-titled full-length debut album at the Fox Theater in Oakland on Tuesday.
