Pauley Perrette fears Mark Harmon
Former “NCIS” co-star Pauley Perrette tweeted last week that she is “terrified” of “NCIS” star Mark Harmon.
Former “NCIS” star Pauley Perrette stunned fans last week when she said on Twitter that she would never return to the show because she was “terrified” of Mark Harmon “attacking” her.
“NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?) I am terrified of Harmon and him attacking me,” Perrette tweeted Friday.
“I have nightmares about it,” the actress, 50, added, before promoting her new CBS show. “I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You’ll love it! #HappyPlace Love y’all!”
In another tweet, which has since been deleted, Perrette alleged that she was “physically assaulted” and “lost my job” over an unspecified incident.
Perrette’s Twitter rant left fans wondering what she was talking about.
Some were annoyed and called her a “drama queen” for making pretty serious allegations against a former co-star without explaining herself more.
TMZ said it has gotten some clarity, with sources from the show telling the entertainment site that the seemingly affable Harmon “body checked” Perrette on set in 2017 over a dispute over his rescue pit bull.
The pit bull dispute made news in 2018 when it was explained as the reason that Perrette left “NCIS” after 15 seasons on the crime procedural; her character, forensic specialist Abby Sciuto, was a fan favorite. Perrette was upset after Harmon’s dog, Dave, bit a crew member in the face in 2016, TMZ reported.
The crew member required 16 stitches. Perrette’s since-deleted tweet included two photographs of the crew member’s injuries.
After Dave’s alleged attack, Perrette objected to the dog being on the set, TMZ reported. CBS executives heeded her complaints and told Harmon, 67, that the dog needed to stay in his trailer unless it was on leash.
As payback for complaining to CBS executives, Harmon “body checked” her — pushed up against her to intimidate her, TMZ added.
Perrette and Harmon hardly filmed scenes together after that. CBS and representatives for Harmon had no comment about Perrette’s body check allegations, TMZ reported.
