-

Anthony Duclair scored twice and the Ottawa Senators beat Detroit 5-2 on Wednesday night to snap a four-game skid and extend the Red Wings’ losing streak to six.

Darren Helm and Tyler Bertuzzi scored for Detroit, and Jonathan Bernier stopped 33 shots. The Red Wings are 3-7-0.

After Detroit scored twice in a 1:40 span early in the second period to take a 2-1 lead, Borowiecki tied it at 3:15 and Pageau made it a two-goal game with a short-handed goal at 5:27. Duclair scored late in the second and added an empty-netter in the third.

LIGHTNING EDGE PENGUINS >> Victor Hedman scored a power-play goal with 56.8 seconds remaining to give Tampa Bay a 3-2 victory over visiting Pittsburgh.

The defenseman scored from just inside the blue line off Steven Stamkos’ pass from the left circle.

Alex Killorn and Cedric Paquette also scored, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 37 saves.

AVS’ RANTANEN MAY MISS

AT LEAST A MONTH >> The Colorado Avalanche say forward Mikko Rantanen is week to week with a lower-body injury.

The 2019 All-Star caught an edge in the ice and awkwardly twisted his left skate during the second period of Monday night’s loss in St. Louis. He didn’t return.

Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said Wednesday after practice that he’s optimistic Rantanen won’t be a “four-to-six week injury. We’re hoping he’s going to be back significantly sooner than that.”

The right winger from Finland is tied with Nathan MacKinnon for most points on the team this season. Both have five goals and seven assists.

WILD ALL-STAR DUBNYK

SIDELINED AFTER INJURY >> Minnesota Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk will miss tonight’s game against the Nashville Predators with an upper-body injury, the team announced. Dubnyk is listed as day-today after being injured in a collision during the opening minutes of the second period of Tuesday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Edmonton’s Brandon Manning slid into Dubnyk’s leg, and Minnesota’s Ryan Donato fell to the ice and was also sliding into the goal area. Dubnyk couldn’t avoid Manning and the contact flipped him to where he landed heavily on his upper back and head.

Dubnyk, 33, remained down on the ice in obvious pain before being helped by trainers and exiting.
