Pulte Homes opens Daybreak at River Islands
Just last week, a national real estate research firm named River Islands in
Lathrop as the No. 1 master-planned community in Northern California, based on the overwhelming consumer response in 2019 to its architecturally distinctive neighborhoods, a land plan featuring lakes, parks and trails, and a relaxed lifestyle close to the San Joaquin River.
River Islands has another active year planned in 2020, with grand openings timed throughout the year. Its first grand opening this year is on Saturday, February 22, when Pulte Homes opens its first model complex at River Islands, Daybreak.
The models open at 10 a.m. At 11, morning drive time personality Mark Davis from KKIQ will start broadcasting from the Daybreak models. A food truck from a local restaurant will be parked at the model complex to offer lunch-type foods, and free tickets to baseball games at River Islands’ own Islanders Field will be awarded in an hourly raffle.
Daybreak is comprised of three home designs, ranging in size from just over 3,000 square feet to approximately 3,400 square feet. Two of the plans have models, and plans for the the third can be viewed at the Daybreak sales center. The homes have been designed with four, five or six bedrooms. The largest plan has a downstairs owners suite, which allows the house to function like a single-story plan, with auxiliary bedrooms for family members, guests or office space upstairs. Pricing for the Daybreak homes starts in the mid-$500,000 range.
Although Pulte Homes is new to River Islands, the Pulte name is a nationally recognized one, with roots in the Bay Area reaching back to the 1980s. Pulte offers several trademarked features in its communities, including Life Tested Floorplans, whose design is a product of actual homeowner feedback, and Pulte Energy Advantage, its program dedicated to increasing energy efficiency and sustainability.
The Daybreak models are being built in the future Town Center district of River Islands. Close to two K-8 charter schools, competition soccer fields, Islanders Field and the Welcome Center for all of River Islands, Daybreak is also walking distance to a new 15-acre community park, now in the planning.
Each neighborhood is a part of a collection that highlights its most immediate lifestyle amenity — such as the Lakeside Collection, the Parkside Collection, the Trailside Collection and the Town Center Collection. The River Islands website, riverislands.com, has a sorting feature that allows people to input what is most important to them in their home search — such as size, bedroom count and price point — to create their own lists of homes and communities that might best fit their needs.
To visit River Islands, take the Mossdale exit from Interstate 5 just past Tracy and follow the signs to the Welcome Center, at the corner of Somerston Parkway and River Islands Parkway. The Welcome Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A free mobile app with directions to all models is available online for download by texting RIMobile and the numbers 797979.
