Identity politics, media driving nation’s divide
This is in response to the Nov. 3 editorial (“Breathe deeply, election drama likely isn’t over”) calling for kindness. Yes, we are divided by politics because the media, especially this newspaper, exacerbates this divide constantly.
Most “news” articles, editorials, op- ed pieces, cartoons focus on identity politics, which just pits everyone against one another. The liberal bias adds to the animosity. I see nothing that emphasizes our commonality or love for our country. What hypocrisy!
If the paper wants to promote kindness, perhaps it should lead by example.
