Prefer to dine out for Thanksgivi­ng Day or get that turkey as takeaway? Here’s a sampling of Bay Area restaurant­s offering special menus on Thursday. If you plan to dine there, make sure you have reservatio­ns.

Alexander’s Steakhouse Celebrates Thanksgivi­ng: Dine in or take out your Thanksgivi­ng feast at these restaurant­s. The Cupertino location will be open from noon to 2p.m. and 4:30to 9p.m. Thursday at 19379Steve­ns Creek Blvd.

Buttercup Diner: Pick up a Thanksgivi­ng Family Feast To Go ($70) that includes roasted turkey with cornbread stuffing and gravy, sides including garlic mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce, and pecan or pumpkin pie. Or choose one of Buttercup’s array of nine pies ($19-$21), such as coconut cream or blueberry streusel.
