UNCLE Credit Union has been serving the Tri-valley and Central Valley for over 60 years and remains a top provider for financial services. Founded and headquartered in Livermore, California, UNCLE was initially founded as a financial institution to primarily serve Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory employees. Currently, UNCLE Credit Union welcomes all individuals living, working, attending school or regularly worshipping in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties to join their membership.
During the COVID19 pandemic, UNCLE focused on adapting and pivoting its products and services to keep its members at ease during an unprecedented time. Many additional services were also offered to meet the needs of members’ individual situations and necessities. Some of these services provided include: informational webinars, loan re- payment assistance, digital access to account information 24/ 7, financial counseling, business banking support, and more. While also providing additional services to its members, UNCLE adopted many protocols for in- branch services, as suggested by the CDC, to protect members and employees as they continue to conduct business as usual.
