Oklahoma State defeats No. 6 Texas in double OT

Cade Cunningham scored five of his 19 points in the second overtime, including a 3-pointer with 1:33 left, to help No. 24 Oklahoma State beat visiting sixth-ranked Texas 7567 on Saturday.

Kalib Boone led OSU with 22 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks, including two in the second overtime after Cunningham had staked the Cowboys (12-5, 5-5 Big 12) to a 74-67 lead with the 3-pointer and two free throws.

Andrew Jones had 17 points for the Longhorns (11-5, 5-4), who shot just 25% from the field (20-for-79) and had 21 turnovers. They hung around by forcing the Cowboys into 35% shooting, grabbing 22 offensive rebounds and coming up with 18 steals and six blocks.

NO. 5 HOUSTON 112, OUR LADY OF THE LAKE 46 >> Cameron Tyson made a schoolreco­rd 10 3-pointers on his way to 32 points and the Cougars (16-2) rolled over their NAIA opponent.

NO. 9 OKLAHOMA 79, IOWA STATE 72 >> Elijah Harkless scored 19 points and the Sooners sent the Cyclones to their seventh loss in a row.

Austin Reaves, who missed the previous two games while in COVID-19 protocols, had 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for Oklahoma (125, 7-4 Big 12).

NO. 18 MISSOURI 68, NO. 10 ALABAMA 65 >> Dru Smith had 16 points and eight rebounds and the Tigers (13-3, 6-3 SEC) held off a frantic rally to hand the Crimson Tide their first conference loss.

Jaden Shackelfor­d had 15 points to lead Alabama (15-5, 10-1).

NO. 11 TENNESSEE 82, KENTUCKY 71 >> Keon Johnson scored 17 of his 27 points after halftime, Jaden Springer added 23 points and the Volunteers (13-4, 6-4 SEC) rallied past the Wildcats (5-12, 4-6).

NO. 12 ILLINOIS 75, NO. 19 WISCONSIN 60 >> Kofi Cockburn scored 23 points and Ayo Dosunmu had the third triple-double in school history with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the Illini (13-5, 9-3) against the Badgers (14-6, 8-5).

NO. 13 TEXAS TECH 73, KANSAS STATE 62 >> Mac Mcclung scored 23 points as the Red Raiders (14-5, 6-4 Big 12) handed the Wildcats (5-15, 1-10) their 10th straight loss.

NO. 14 VIRGINIA 73, PITTSBURGH 66 >> Sam Hauser scored 10 of his 23 points during a 23-9 second-half surge to key the Cavaliers (13-3, 9-1 ACC) against the Panthers (9-6, 5-5).

NO. 15 CREIGHTON 71, MARQUETTE 68 >> Christian Bishop scored 14 points and the Bluejays (14-5, 10-4 Big East) topped the Golden Eagles (9-10, 5-8). OREGON 86, WASHINGTON 74 >> Eugene Omoruyi scored 25 points and the Ducks (10-4, 5-3 Pac-12) used 12 3-pointers and dominant rebounding to beat the Huskies (3-14, 2-10) despite Oregon missing its leading scorer.

Chris Duarte (17.8 points per game) sat out after injuring his right ankle in a loss to Washington State on Thursday.
