Curry’s return to Charlotte in jeopardy

LeBron James had 30 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists and Dennis Schröder scored 24 points, helping the Los Angeles Lakers pull away from the Minnesota Timberwolv­es for a 112-104 victory on Tuesday night.

Montrezl Harrell pitched in 17 points for the Lakers, who stopped a seven-game losing streak at Minnesota with its first win at Target Center since March 25, 2015.

Minnesota rookie Anthony Edwards had a career-high 28 points plus seven rebounds and five assists.

The Lakers played the first of what will be several games in a row without seven-time All-Star Anthony Davis, who was shelved with an injury to his Achilles tendon.

TRAIL BLAZERS 115, THUNDER 104>> Damian Lillard scored 12 of his 31 points in the final 4:11 to help the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Trail Blazers squandered a 24-point lead in the second half, then regained control behind Lillard, who made all four of his 3-point tries during the closing run while playing with five fouls.

CELTICS 112, NUGGETS 99 >> Jaylen Brown had 27 points and eight assists to help the Boston Celtics withstand a 43-point night from Nikola Jokic and beat the Denver Nuggets.

Jayson Tatum added 21 points and eight assists to help Boston.

It was Jokic’s third 40-point game of the season. Jamal Murray added 25 points but Denver had its three-game winning streak snapped.

PELICANS 144, GRIZZLIES 113 >> Zion Williamson scored 31 points while dominating inside, and the New

Orleans Pelicans ended a three-game skid with a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.Josh Hart scored a season-high 27 points and Brandon Ingram had 22 for New Orleans.

Ja Morant scored 28 points on 12-of-16 shooting for Memphis.

KNICKS’ ROBINSON HAS HAND SURGERY >> New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson will be out until after next month’s All-Star break after having surgery Tuesday to repair a broken right hand.

The Knicks said Robinson had the procedure at the Hospital for Special Surgery and would be reevaluate­d after the All-Star break.

RAPTORS 124, BUCKS 113 >> Fred VanVleet scored 33 points, Pascal Siakam added 23 and the Toronto Raptors withstood the loss of Kyle Lowry to a sore ankle to beat the slumping Milwaukee Bucks.

PANDEMIC HITS SPURS HARD >> The San Antonio Spurs are dealing with a coronaviru­s outbreak among four players, the NBA said Tuesday, meaning the team will not play until the middle of next week at the earliest.

The NBA on Tuesday postponed five more games: the next three for the Spurs — at Cleveland on Wednesday, at New York on Saturday and at Indiana on Monday — as well as the next two for the Charlotte Hornets while contact tracing is completed.

The Hornets were scheduled to play host to Chicago today and Denver on Friday. Their games are halted because they were the last team to play the Spurs.

D’ANGELO RUSSELL (KNEE SURGERY) TO MISS 4-6 WEEKS >> Minnesota Timberwolv­es guard D’Angelo Russell will undergo arthroscop­ic knee surgery and miss four-to-six weeks, the team announced. Russell, 24, will have the procedure to remove a loose body in his left knee.
