Wilde hauls suitcases over to Styles’ home
The day before Olivia Wilde heaped praise on reported boyfriend Harry Styles for taking a supporting role in the femaleled film she’s directing, she was photographed on Valentine’s Day moving lots of heavy-looking suitcases into his Hollywood Hills home.
Wilde was spotted earlier Sunday loading some of the same suitcases into a car outside the Silver Lake home of her ex-partner, Jason Sudeikis, Page Six reported.
The 36-year-old actor and director split from Sudeikis, 45, last year after nine years together and two children. Maybe Wilde is just storing some old clothes and suitcases at Styles’ home before he has them donated to Goodwill. Or maybe all the luggage she’s moving from one house to another signals that their reported romance is getting serious.
News that Wilde split from Sudeikis came in September. Four months later, Wilde and Styles, 27, were identified as the hot new couple of 2021 when they were photographed over the New Year’s weekend, holding hands and attending a friend’s outdoor wedding in Santa Barbara. Page Six reported last month that Wilde and Styles met and struck up a romance while working together this fall on the psychological horror film “Don’t Worry Darling.”
Page Six claims that Styles was the reason behind Wilde’s split from “Saturday Night Live” alum Sudeikis. In any case, filming recently wrapped for “Don’t Worry Darling,” which stars Florence Pugh.
Perhaps it’s for that reason that Wilde decided to post a stylish black-andwhite photo of Styles, taken from the back, in which he is seated in a vintage car.
She accompanied the Instagram photo with a lengthy caption, praising the former One Direction singer and decrying a film industry that has traditionally denigrated films that star women and highlight female stories.
Wilde wrote that the industry has told men they shouldn’t bother playing supporting roles in “women’s” movies because “it lessens their power (i.e. financial value) to accept these roles, which is one of the reasons it’s so hard to get financing for movies focusing on female stories.” But Styles “infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity. He didn’t have to join our circus, but he jumped on board with humility and grace, and blew us away every day with his talent, warmth, and ability to drive backwards.”
