Oregon schools get best of Stanford, Cal

Jarod Lucas scored a career-high 26 points to lead Oregon State to a 73-62 win over Stanford on Saturday.

The Beavers (13-11, 9-9 Pac-12) swept both Stanford and Cal on the road for the first time since the 2008-09 season, while the Cardinal (14-11, 10-9) had not lost to Oregon State and Oregon at home in the same season since 1985-86.

Ziaire Williams scored 14 points off the bench to lead Stanford. Lukas Kisunas matched his career best with 12 points and Spencer Jones had 10.

OREGON 74, CAL 63 >> LJ Figueroa had 20 points, a career-high 14 rebounds and five steals, Eugene Omoruyi scored 21 points and the Ducks (16-5, 11-4 Pac-12) topped the Bears (8-19, 3-17).

Oregon scored the first four points of the game and led the rest of the way. Oregon turned 11 Cal turnovers into 27 points.

Ryan Betley scored 13 points, and Andre Kelly and Matt Bradley each added 12 for Cal, which lost its fourth straight game to close the regular season.

NO. 17 KANSAS 71, NO. 2 BAYLOR 58 >> Kansas finally put a blemish on Baylor’s perfect season. David Mccormack bruised his way to 20 points, Marcus Garrett added 14 on his senior night, and the Jayhawks (18-8, 126) beat the Bears (18-1, 11-1) in Lawrence, Kan., to leave Gonzaga as the nation’s only unbeaten team.

NO. 3 MICHIGAN 73, INDIANA 57>> Franz Wagner scored 21 points and Isaiah Livers had 16 points and 10 rebounds, as the Wolverines (18-1, 13-1) took another major step toward the Big Ten title by winning their seventh straight.

NO. 5 ILLINOIS 74, NO. 23 WISCONSIN 69 >> Kofi Cockburn scored 19 points, and the Illini (18-6, 15-4 Big Ten) completed its first regular-season sweep of the Badgers (16-9, 10-8) since 2005. Trailing by 13 points, D’mitrik Trice (29 points) nearly brought the Badgers all the way back by scoring 19 points in the final 2:12.

NO. 6 ALABAMA 64, MISSISSIPP­I STATE 59 >> Jaden Shacklefor­d scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half, and the Crimson Tide (196, 14-2) clinched their first SEC regular-season championsh­ip since 2002.

OKLAHOMA STATE 94, NO. 7 OKLAHOMA 90, OT >> Cade Cunningham scored 10 of his season-high 40 points in overtime, leading the Cowboys (16-6, 9-6 Big 12) over the Sooners (15-7, 8-7).

NO. 10 WEST VIRGINIA 65, KANSAS STATE 43 >> Sean Mcneil scored 16 points and the Mountainee­rs (176, 10-4 Big 12) used two big second-half runs to beat the Wildcats (7-19, 3-14).

NORTH CAROLINA 78, NO. 11 FLORIDA STATE 70 >> Walker Kessler scored a seasonhigh 20 points, and the Tar Heels (15-8, 9-5 ACC) upset the Seminoles (14-4, 10-3) to boost their NCAA Tournament chances while giving coach Roy Williams his 900th career victory.

XAVIER 77, NO. 13 CREIGHTON 69>> Paul Scruggs scored 23 points, helping the Musketeers (13-5, 6-5 Big East) upset the Bluejays (17-6, 135) and bolster their NCAA Tournament hopes.

NO. 18 TEXAS TECH 68, NO. 14 TEXAS 59 >> Mac Mcclung had 16 points, and the Red Raiders (15-8, 7-7 Big 12) snapped a three-game slide. Jericho Sims had 11 points for Texas (14-7, 8-6).

NO. 16 VIRGINIA TECH 84, WAKE FOREST 46 >> Keve Aluma scored 23 points as the Hokies (15-5, 9-4) recorded their largest margin of victory in an ACC game.

NO. 22 SAN DIEGO STATE 62, BOISE STATE 58 >> Matt Mitchell and Jordan Schakel combined to make six free throws in the final 8.7 seconds, leading the Aztecs (19-4, 13-3 Mountain West).
