Orlando Bloom is living his best life

Orlando Bloom has opened up to the British media about how he’s living a pretty good life in Montecito these days with his fiancee Katy Perry and their new baby daughter, augmented by his healthy, very “L.A.” daily routine that keeps him grounded and optimistic.

But the 44-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” star admitted in an interview with The Guardian that he and Perry aren’t having “enough sex” because Perry gave birth in August.

Bloom also got even more personal by revealing to The Guardian that he’s had some problems with his prostate since hurting his back, so “I pee a lot, sometimes in nature.”

Finally, Bloom told The Guardian he was devastated last summer when his 4-year-old poodle Mighty was snatched by a coyote after it escaped from their backyard. “He taught me about love and loyalty, and how the connection between living beings can be,” Bloom said.

But otherwise, Bloom doesn’t seem inclined to complain about much, in large part because his family and daily rituals keep him grounded, as he explained in an essay for the Times of the U.K. It definitely sounds like it helps that his new daughter, Daisy Dove, is a “very happy,” easygoing infant who apparently sleeps through the night, so that Bloom can wake up wellrested at 6:30 a.m.

The actor wrote that he even checks to confirm he’s well-rested using an app, then spends some time “connecting” with his daughter with some “eye-gazing” and songs. After that, Bloom devotes 20 minutes to his longtime practice of Buddhist chants. He and Perry must have a nanny who takes over care of Daisy Dove while he chants because, as he said, his pop singer partner needs her rest and usually sleeps in.

After that, Bloom fuels himself up for a hike with “some green powders,” mixed with “brain octane oil, a collagen powder for my hair and nails, and some protein.” Brain octane oil is described as a keto and paleo-friendly supplement derived from coconut oil that is said to boost energy, promote healthy digestion and immune function “It’s all quite L.A., really,” Bloom said.
