Bianchini’s Market

-

The Bianchini family has been part of the Bay Area food scene for over 50 years. In 1970 “Big Al” Bianchini and his brother Jerry opened their first store in San Carlos. He dedicated himself to serving his community with friendly customer service and locally sourced produce, meats and specialty foods. As the 1970s and 1980s quickly passed and the local food scene evolved, Bianchini’s not only remained steadfastly committed to their community, they doubled down on relationships with local growers and food producers. Led by Al’s sons Kevin and Chris, Bianchini’s shared their love of food, family and fun with their friends and neighbors, becoming the “go-to” spot for the freshest and most interesting foods in the Bay Area. Expanding to Portola Valley in 1999, Bianchini’s brought their family atmosphere and love of food to Portola Valley. Kevin Bianchini retired from the Woodside Fire Department in 2008 to focus full time on Bianchini’s Markets. You often will find him building displays and rearranging sections of the store to accommodate new local food finds.

Bianchini’s has always had the firm belief that their employees are more than just hired workers, they are the extension of the Bianchini family that is the conduit between them and the community. Neighbors and friends in San Carlos and Portola Valley truly enjoy meeting at Bianchini’s — whether it’s for one of their award-winning sandwiches or just by chance, it’s always friendly.

Today Bianchini’s Markets continue the commitment of Al Bianchini with local partnerships such as Lakeside Organic Produce, Pomponio Farms, Tin Pot Creamery, As Kneaded Bread and Mary’s Free Range Chicken, just to name a few. The company’s focus is on foods that are the freshest available. Fresh seafood arrives every day and beef and poultry are strictly fresh, natural and of the highest quality.

As families have become busier, Bianchini’s chefs have developed more and more ready to heat and eat meals. As the COVID-19 pandemic has interrupted restaurant dining, Bianchini’s team has developed dozens of new, restaurant-quality entrees and side dishes.

Bianchini’s Market has everything you need to make that interesting recipe plus all your everyday grocery needs and is committed to provide the BEST in Silicon Valley and the Peninsula!
