Warriors give up late lead in loss to Wizards on a night Curry’s 30-point streak is halted

Stephen Curry’s historic scoring streak came to an end at Capitol One Arena on Wednesday night, but that won’t be how the Warriors remember their 118-114 defeat to the Washington Wizards.

“We definitely lost a game we should have won,” said Draymond Green, alluding to the Warriors’ 11-point lead with less than 7 minutes left.

“It’s a game we played well enough to win, we just didn’t finish down the stretch,” Curry

said. “It’s tough. You’ve got to stay positive about where we are overall and hopefully turn the page to a good return to Chase on Friday.”

The Warriors will play in front of fans for the first time at home this season when they meet the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
