Fans planning to attend future Giants home games are no longer required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination to enter Oracle Park.

The franchise announced the change Tuesday ahead of the club’s highly anticipated three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, which begins on Friday.

Fans who buy tickets for “vaccinated-only” sections will still be required to show proof that they are fully vaccinated, but anyone sitting in a socially distanced section is no longer subject to the entry requirements that have been in place since opening day.

The Giants are still operating Oracle Park at a reduced capacity in compliance with state and local health orders. All fans who attend games must continue to wear facial coverings, regardless of their vaccination status.

Tickets for home games scheduled to take place between May 31-June 20 will go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m. on the Giants’ website.

The Giants have sold more than 10,000 tickets once this season as 10,008 fans attended an 11-1 loss on Mother’s Day to the San Diego Padres,

but the club is anticipating larger crowds for this weekend’s matchups with the Dodgers.

LA STELLA MOVED TO 60-DAY IL >> The Giants will be without infielder Tommy La Stella for at least the next six weeks as the club announced the lefthanded hitting second baseman has been transferred to the 60-day injured list.

Giants manager Gabe Kapler said La Stella is “making good progress” in his recovery from a left hamstring strain, but he has yet to begin baseball activities and his new injured list designation will keep him out through at least July 2.

The club made the decision to transfer La Stella from the 10-day injured list to the 60day injured list upon acquiring former New York Mets reliever Trevor Hildenberger on a waiver claim. Hildenberger was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento where he’ll join new outfielder Braden Bishop, who was added on a waiver claim Monday when the club moved reliever Reyes Moronta to the 60-day injured list.

Hildenberger has 134 games of major league experience and has struck out nearly a batter per inning in his career, but he’s posted a 5.52 ERA and has struggled to keep runners off base since he enjoyed a solid rookie year with the Twins in 2017.
