(Mercury News and East Bay Times) Player of the year: Jessica Oakland, St. Francis Coach of the year: Mike Oakland, St. Francis (Listed in alphabetic­al order) Kasey Aguinaga, LHP, Heritage, junior: Carried Heritage to a perfect record — or at least 16 of them. Stymied opponents to the tune of a 0.71 ERA and 16-0 record over 88 1/3 innings. Had four shutouts, including a five-inning perfect game. Struck out 18 in a win over Pittsburg. Marissa Anderson, C, Foothill, freshman: Filled the shoes of all-Bay Area catcher Courtney Beaudin, one of seven starters to graduate after last season. Batted .365 with four triples for Foothill, which went 17-2 and won the East Bay Athletic League despite heavy turnover. Taylor Andolsek, IF, Alameda, senior: Recorded 23 hits in 36 at-bats (.639), including a team-leading 11 for extra bases (7 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR), for Alameda, which won its final six games to finish 10-3. Committed to play at Westcliff University in Irvine. Anna Bean, RHP, Los Gatos, sophomore: Leader of Los Gatos’ pitching staff with a 1.82 ERA in 61 2/3 innings while also batting .422.

Tianna Bell, IF, Heritage, junior: Top slugger for undefeated Patriots, who finished the season 23-0 and tied for the top spot in the Bay Area News Group rankings. Led the team with 10 homers, 12 doubles and 12 RBIs while batting .581.

Elon Butler, IF, Archbishop Mitty, junior: Committed to play at Cal, led Mitty in batting average (.500), home runs (8) and RBIs (24) en route to a 14-7 record, third-place finish in the WCAL and first-round ouster in the CCS playoffs.

Mika Chong, C, Hillsdale, senior: Weber Statebound catcher led 15-7 Hillsdale in battings average (.574), home runs (10), doubles (9), runs scored (19-tie) and RBIs (31). Madison Connolly Hojas, IF, Branham, sophomore: Turned on the jets to help Branham win its final 14 regular-season games and earn the fifth seed in the CCS Open Division. In her last 14 games she had her team-leading three homers, 10 doubles and 21 of her team-high 23 RBIs. Jae Cosgriff, IF/OF, Livermore, freshman: Provided the power in Livermore’s lineup with a team-leading six home runs and 25 RBIs to accompany a .400 batting average. Chloe Cummings, RHP, St. Francis, sophomore: Earned 12 wins while limiting opponents to a 0.86 in the most innings (73) of anyone on the St. Francis pitching staff. At the plate, her 1.372 on-base-plus-slugging percentage was fourth on the Lancers’ offensive juggernaut. Alexandra Cutonilli, IF, Heritage, sophomore: Provided a consistent offensive presence at shortstop with a .581 batting average, 16 extrabase hits (10 2B, 5 HR, 1 3B) and 30 RBIs.

Kenna Davis, IF, Alameda, senior: Committed to play at Willamette University after leading 10-4 Alameda with 23 RBIs while batting .439. Justine Delacruz-Carranza, IF, Alhambra, senior: Captain and leading hitter for 19-4 Alhambra with a .580 batting average and 38 RBIs.

Alyssa Delgado, C, Cupertino, junior: Batted a team-leading .507 with 10 doubles to help lead Cupertino to a 17-3 record and the No. 2 seed in the CCS Division I playoffs. Olivia Dinardo, C, Aragon, junior: Future Arizona Wildcat anchored a lineup that keyed a 15-3 record and PAL division title. Had a in every game and batted .764 batting and tied for the team lead with eight homers. Emma Fales, RHP, Branham, junior: Leader of 19-3 Branham’s pitching staff, who closed games out as often as she started them. In addition to seven complete games, recorded four saves, while limiting opponents to a 1.37 ERA over 87 total innings. Avery Francis, OF, Foothill, junior: Secondlead­ing hitter on 17-2 Foothill with a .464 batting average also had 10 stolen bases.

Rosie Gomez, IF/OF, Los Gatos, senior: The Canisius College commit helped Los Gatos to CCS Division I semifinals with the team lead in batting average (.485), extra-base hits (17; 11 2B, 6 HR), runs scored (19) and RBIs (25).

Megan Grant, IF, Aragon, junior: Future UCLA Bruin slugged eight home runs and drove in a team-leading 31 runs while batting .706 as Aragon advanced to the CCS semifinals, two of its three losses coming to undefeated St. Francis.

Maddie Heinlin, RHP, Foothill, senior: UC Riverside-bound captain helped a Foothill team facing lots of turnover to a 17-2 record. Earned 15 wins of her own with a 1.20 ERA. Mia Hildebrand, RHP, Amador Valley, senior: Second Division-I softball player in her family to pass through Amador Valley. UC Davis-bound ace led 12-6 Dons’ pitching staff. Jaz Hsiao, IF, St. Francis, junior: Played a key role in Lancers’ CCS title run with five homers over the tournament’s three games. Finished junior season with .431 average and nine homers. Sarah Kerling, IF/OF, Livermore, senior: Southern Oregon-bound speedster led 16-3 Livermore in triples (5), runs scored (27) and stolen bases (12). Taryn Kern, IF/OF, Archbishop Mitty, junior: Slugged a home run in Monarchs’ CCS quarterfin­al loss, one of four balls she put over the fence in 21 games. Led Mitty in hits (33) runs scored (22) and doubles (10). Committed to play after next season at the University of Indiana. Katie Koenig, IF/OF, Mercy-Burlingame, sophomore: Led Mercy into CCS Division III semifinals with team highs in nearly every offensive category: batting average (.533), home runs (6), doubles (7), triples (3), runs scored (23) and RBIs (26). Hannah Levy, IF, Hillsdale, junior: Homered three times in the final game of the season to clinch second place in the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division. Finished the season with a .471 batting average, six home runs, seven doubles and 27RBIs. Kira Nilson, OF, Alhambra, senior: Team captain was a constant presence and threat on the bases with a .493 batting average and 21 steals. Also tied for the team lead with 10 doubles, scored 29 runs and drove in 24. Committed to play at San Francisco State.

Haley Nishijima, RHP, Westmont, junior: Threw three shutouts and limited opponents to a 0.65 ERA in 64 1/3 innings. Also hit .492 and led 19-6 Westmont with five homers.

Ahmiya Noriega, IF, Silver Creek, junior: Hit safely in all but one of 18 games, including 11 with two or more hits. Led 12-6 Silver Creek in nearly every offensive category: batting average (.594), extra-base hits (14; 8 2B, 4 3B, 2 HR), runs scored (25) and RBIs (17). Committed to play after next season at San Jose State. Jessica Oakland, IF, St. Francis, junior: Batted .612 and slugged 19 home runs en route to an undefeated record and CCS Open championsh­ip. Unanimous choice for Bay Area News Group player of the year. Committed to play at University of Minnesota. Taylor Rodriguez, RHP, Livermore, junior: First-team all-East Bay Athletic League. Earned 11 wins while tossing the lion’s share of Livermore’s innings (92.2) with a 2.27 ERA; also hit .390 with three home runs at the plate. Alexis Sealey, LHP, College Park, sophomore: Voted team MVP for College Park, which ended the season 14-2 and ranked fifth in the Bay Area News Group Top 15. Dominated over 16 starts with a 1.21 ERA and 141 strikeouts in 87 innings. Jacqueline Solomon, IF, Cupertino, junior: Began her season with a three-double, five-RBI performanc­e and went on to bat .491 with 10 doubles, six home runs and 29 RBIs; she even topped the season-opener with a pair of multihomer games and one with seven RBIs. Sydney Stewart, C, St. Francis, junior: Steady force behind the plate and in the lineup batted .559 with 12 home runs for undefeated CCS Open champions. She’s committed to play at the University of Washington. Mari Takeda Bajan, RHP, Pioneer, senior: Chico State-bound workhorse tossed five shutouts and limited opponents to a 2.28 ERA over 125 2/3 innings. At her best in a 10-strikeout, four-hit shutout of Los Altos in the CCS Open quarterfin­als. Kyndal Todd, IF, Castro Valley, sophomore: Slugged Castro Valley’s only three home runs while also leading the team in batting average (.621), RBIs (14) and on-base-plus-slugging percentage (1.968). Ainsley Waddell, LHP, Sequoia, sophomore: Carried Sequoia to an unbeaten record in PAL play and to the CCS final with a 2.02 ERA in more than 100 innings from the circle and a team-leading .607 average at the plate. Shelby White, RHP, Los Altos, senior: Limited opponents to a 0.95 ERA in 66 1/3 innings pitched to lead Los Altos to a 12-2 record and the top of the SCVAL’s De Anza division, as well as the No. 3 seed in the CCS Open Division. Makayla Winchell, OF, Granada, junior: An onbase and stolen-base machine for 14-8 Granada: batted .519 — including 11 doubles, a triple and a pair of home runs — and swiped 18 bags. Emma Wood, OF, College Park, sophomore: Voted 14-2 College Park’s offensive MVP after batting .453 and leading the team in extra-base hits (7 2B; 2 3B; 1 HR).
