A group of about 100 volunteers and law enforcement personnel spanned out again at Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park on Monday morning to look for a man who went for a weekend run and didn’t return.

Philip Kreycik, 37, has been missing since Saturday when he parked his car near the Moller Ranch staging area around 11 a.m., authorities said.

Kreycik’s wife reported him missing around 2 p.m. on Saturday. A PG&E spokesperson later tweeted that Kreycik was a company “team member.”

On Monday, 13 agencies were part of the search, including personnel from every sheriff’s office in the Bay Area, Pleasanton police Lt. Erik Silacci said. In all, 97 people were split into 20 teams.

“It’s not as hot as it was over the weekend, and we’re happy about that,” Silacci said. “We are in a race against time. It’s still a search and rescue at this point. If the day goes by, and we haven’t found him, we’ll re-assess at that time. But we’re still optimistic about locating him.”

Crews were using drones and fixed-wing aircraft during the search, he said. They also used that equipment during a search on Sunday.

Kreycik, an avid long-distance runner, told his wife he was going for about an hourlong run, Silacci said. He has no known health conditions.

He is described as white with a thin build. He has brown eyes and brown hair and is presumed to be wearing running gear.

The park has remained open during the search.

Police urged anyone with information about where Keycik may be to contact Pleasanton police at 925931-5100.
