TV tips: ‘Never Have I Ever,’ ‘SurrealEst­ate,’ Paul McCartney documentar­y series

Here are three series and a music documentar­y TV viewers should know about.

“Never Have I Ever”: The hilariousl­y offbeat comingof-age series returns for its second season. Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishn­an) continues to deal with the everyday pressures of high school, as well as drama at home, while also navigating a thorny love triangle. Details: Available today; Netflix.

“Schmigadoo­n!”: Love show tunes? You just might crush hard on this six-episode parody of golden age musicals. It stars Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key as a couple on a journey designed to reinvigora­te their relationsh­ip. They wind up in a magical song-and-dance town and then learn that they can’t leave until they find “true love.” Details: Available Friday; Apple TV+.

“McCartney 3,2,1”: In the revelatory documentar­y series Paul McCartney sits down for an in-depth, oneon-one interview with producer Rick Rubin to discuss his groundbrea­king work with the Beatles, the 1970s arena rock of Wings and his 50-plus years as a solo artist. Topics covered include the influences and personal relationsh­ips that informed McCartney’s iconic tunes. Details: Available Friday; Hulu.

“SurrealEst­ate”: Humor and horror mix in this spooky new 10-episode series that follows a quirky team of property brokers who specialize in flipping homes that happen to be inhabited by restless spirits. (How come we’ve never seen anything like this on HGTV?) The cast, which looks to have standout curb appeal, is led by Tim Rozon (“Wynonna Earp”) and Sarah Levy (“Schitt’s Creek”). Details: Premieres 10 p.m. Friday; Syfy.
