If you’re headed to the massive BottleRock Napa music festival over Labor Day weekend, you’ll need to bring a proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, organizers have announced.

“Your health and safety are our top priorities at this year’s fest, that’s why, in partnership with local health authorities, we are implementing COVID-19 requirements for everyone entering the festival,” organizers of the three-day festival said. “With the emergence of the delta variant, BottleRock will now require proof of vaccination or

a negative COVID test” for all visitors, vendors and members of media at the event.

The event’s website specifies that those who plan to be vaccinated will need to get all necessary shots by Aug. 20. Those relying on a negative COVID test to get in must have been tested within 72 hours of each day you are attending. If you’re going all three days, you will have had to be tested no earlier than Sept. 2.

Checking the credentials will be a considerable logistical process, as hundreds of thousands of people are expected at the festival, including some 40,000 music fans per day.

As for masks, organizers say they are recommended but, at least so far, not mandatory.

Organizers say the festival will also operate using touchless wristbands and no-cash transactions for all vendors.

Secondary acts include Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Polo G, Mavis Staples, Portugal. The Man, Young the Giant, Milky Chance, Olivia O’Brien, Digable Planets, Cage the Elephant, Black Pumas, Future Islands, Jessie Reyez, Jon Batiste, Turkuaz with Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew: Remain in Light, Jimmy Eat World and the Village People.

All three days are sold out.
