TV tips: Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s new comedy

Here are two series and a rom-com that TV viewers should know about.

“Mr. Corman”: Directed by and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, this new comedy series follows a fifth grade teacher whose dream of a music career fizzled. Now, his ex-fiance has moved out, his old high school buddy has moved in and he finds himself grappling with existentia­l woes. Details: Available Friday; Apple TV+.

“Hit & Run”: In this new action thriller, Lior Raz plays a man whose life is rocked when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit-and-run crash in Tel Aviv. With the help of an ex-lover (Sanaa Lathan), he searches for the killers, who have fled to the U.S. and, in the process, uncovers disturbing secrets his wife kept from him. Details: Available Friday; Netflix.

“The 27-Hour Day”: This softhearte­d TV film follows an obsessive entreprene­ur (Autumn Reeser) who needs a break from her wellness empire for some much-needed work-life balance. Will a relaxing retreat and a new romance do the trick? Details: 9 p.m. Saturday; Hallmark Channel.
