‘Troubled lothario’? Is it a split-up for Davidson, Dynevor?
Just a month after Pete Davidson put on a “lovedup” display with Phoebe Dynevor at Wimbledon to confirm their surprising romance, the “Saturday Night Live” comedian and the “Bridgerton” star have called it quits, according to a report.
A source told The Sun that their five-month “whirlwind” relationship became “strained” because of the distance between the United States and the United Kingdom, and because Davidson and Dynevor’s busy work schedules.
The news that Davidson has ended his latest romance will only confirm the idea that he cycles through women, particularly popular or upand-coming female stars who somehow find the tall and gawky 27-year-old comedian highly desirable.
Vogue magazine described the heavily-tattooed Davidson as a “troubled lothario” in an interview with Kaia Gerber, the famous young model he dated before Dynevor. Davidson has been open about his mental health struggles. He’s also done little to hide his series of seemingly intense attachments to famous women, often being seen in public with them, engaging in hot-and-heavy displays of affection.
Before Dynevor, there was Ariana Grande, then Kate Beckinsale, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actress Margaret Qualley and Gerber. Davidson and Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s daughter, started dating in 2019, just after she turned 18. It ended in early 2020, after Davidson admitted on “Saturday Night Live” he was entering rehab.
Page Six reported at the time that Gerber realized that the comic was a bit too old for her and his selfdescribed mental health issues had become “overwhelming.”
Davidson’s split from Dynevor may be for less dramatic reasons. A source for The Sun said: “Pete and Phoebe’s romance was a real whirlwind and from the start they were both totally committed. But as time has passed, it’s become increasingly obvious it is going to be difficult to make this work.”
Davidson was in New York City Sunday night, where he was photographed getting a hug from Kaley Cuoco as they begin work on their new movie, “Meet Cute,” the Daily Mail reported.
