The Bottom Line: What is a LX570? The LX570 is a full size luxury SUV sold by Lexus, the upscale automotive division of Toyota since January 1996. The LX name stands for Luxury Crossover. Some Lexus dealers describe the LX nameplate as Luxury Four Wheel Drive.

The 2021 Lexus LX570 is offered in one well equipped trim level. A 5.7L liter V8 engine, an eight speed automatic transmission, and full time 4WD four wheel drive are standard equipment. Most luxury interior features come standard as well. Your main choice will be whether you want to buy a two row, or three row seat version, plus how many interior and exterior sport upgrades you want to add to the window sticker.

This week Lexus sent me a 2021 LX570 3 row SUV with a base price of $91,580 to test drive and review. The options on the test SUV are: a wireless charger for $75, the cool box for $170, HU heads up display for $900, the Luxury package for $1,190, the Mark Levinson audio system for $2,350, the dual screen rear seat entertainment system for $2,005, the Sport package for $6,110, a heated Espresso steering wheel for $150, the cargo net and mat for $140, a set of alloy wheel locks for $85, the 3M door edge guard film for $90, and a set of roof rack cross bars for $450.

The total MSRP manufacturer’s suggested retail price, including the $1,295 delivery fee came to: $106,590. After adding in the state and local sales tax, plus the DMV and dealer fees, the total out the door purchase price came to: $119,914. Buying a Lexus LX570 makes you a card carrying member of the $100 Grand Car Club for sure.

So, what do you really get for your near $120,000 purchase? A top of the line, full size, 3 row SUV with superior luxury appointments that rival the best SUV’s for sale in the states, for less than the price of the other full size SUV guys. Think

Cadillac Escalade, GMC Denali, Lincoln Navigator, and the upcoming Jeep Grand Wagoner.

The 2021 LX570 pairs a 5.7L liter V8 engine that generates 383 HP horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque, with an advanced eight speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. It has the largest engine of any Lexus vehicle, and full time 4WD four wheel drive is standard on all models.

To get to this higher level of comfort this SUV has the Luxury Package which includes: the leather trimmed interior with contrast stitching, heated and ventilated front seats and second row outboards seats, a 4 zone climate control system, outside Lexus LX570 logo projector ground lamps, and a special deep space black headliner.

To the audiophile’s delight this Lexus SUV has a Mark Levinson Premium Audio system with 19 speakers and a 450 watt reference surround sound system with SiriusXM satellite radio. In the second row the passengers have a dual screen DVD rear seat entertainment system with wireless headphones. Alexa is on board for voice

commands and navigation.

To spice up the exterior the Sport package includes a unique set of 21” forged alloy sport wheels with alloy wheel locks, an exclusive front sport edition grill, front and rear lower spoilers, a pair of chrome accent side view mirror caps, and a set of roof rack cross bars.

The Lexus Safety System comes with pre-collision alerts with pedestrian detection, all speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, and intelligent high beam headlamps. Plus it has 10 airbags, braking assist with smart stop technology, a smart access entry system with push button start and stop, a backup camera with dynamic guidelines, triple beam LED headlights, and LED daytime running headlamps.

You can not buy this level of power, comfort, safety and technology in a full size luxury SUV for less, and Lexus gives the LX570 a 7,000 pound towing capacity to take your race car, camping trailer, or big boat to the lake.

Overall, the Lexus LX570 favors comfort, upscale interiors, and overall performance. It is worth upgrading to if you have the budget, and want a vehicle that offers a luxurious driving experience, without sacrificing performance.

So, when you’re ready to buy a new luxury SUV, the Lexus LX570 should be on your ride and drive list, as it is one of the best priced, full size, luxury SUVs for sale today. Call, click or visit your local Lexus dealer for a test drive, and a Bottom Line price review, on a new 2021 Lexus LX570 SUV. And remember that the base window sticker price for a new LX570 starts at only $86,930.

A word to the wise is sufficient: Be Smart, Stay Safe, and Just Breathe. Remember, “You Are What You Drive ©” And maybe, just for those reasons alone, you should “Drive one, Buy one, Today ©”.
