West spends New Year’s with Julia Fox
Given that Kanye West has publicly pleaded for a reconciliation with Kim Kardashian, it doesn’t sound like he was in the mood to take care of their four children on New Year’s to allow her to meet up in Miami with her new squeeze, Pete Davidson.
So, instead of being with his kids, West, 44, turned up in Miami himself on New Year’s Eve and found a new squeeze of his own, “Uncut Gems” actress Julia Fox, 31. And he’s been having a photographer follow him around and snap images of him and Fox getting romantic in Miami and on subsequent dates in New York, Page Six reported.
The photographer may be helping West with a project to document his life, but the PDA-filled images with Fox have been shared on gossip sites and social media. West also likely gave his OK for Fox to detail their time together in a short essay for Interview magazine. Fox described how she and West “met on New Year’s Eve” and experienced “an instant connection.”
“His energy is so fun to be around,” she wrote. “He had me and my friends laughing, dancing, and smiling all night.” Fox appears to be writing about New Year’s Eve, when Kardashian ended up staying at home in Calabasas to be with her and West’s four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2, according to Hollywood Life.
The reality TV star, 41, had “really” wanted to be in Miami with Davidson, who was hosting NBC’s New Year’s Eve TV special, a source told Hollywood Life. She filed for divorce from West last February and they are in the midst of proceedings and have vowed to coparent their children. “But when she contacted Kanye (West) to ask if he would be available to watch the kids, Kanye said he wouldn’t be,” the source said.
Because West wasn’t available, Kardashian canceled her trip to Miami, with the source telling Hollywood Life that she and West have a pact that says that one of them will always be with the children on holidays. “Kim always puts her kids first no matter what,” the source said.
Kardashian didn’t hang around in Calabasas after fulfilling her New Year’s Eve duties. She met up with Davidson and headed off for a quick trip to the Bahamas.
