Cavs snap Nuggets' road winning streak at seven

Lauri Markkanen made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 29 seconds left in overtime and scored a season-high 31 points, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 119-116 victory over Denver on Friday night that snapped the Nuggets' franchise-record road winning streak at seven.

Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic scored in the paint to cut Cleveland's lead to 117-116 with 25 seconds remaining, but rookie Evan Mobley dunked over Aaron Gordon to restore the Cavaliers' three-point advantage. Bones Hyland missed a 3-pointer as time expired. LAKERS 128, RAPTORS 123 >> LeBron James scored 19 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, Russell Westbrook had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, and Los Angeles snapped a three-game losing streak by winning at Toronto.

Avery Bradley hit a goahead 3-pointer with 32.5 seconds left in the extra session, putting the visitors up 125-123, then added a pair of free throws after a turnover by Toronto rookie Scottie Barnes.

cut Houston's lead to two with about 2 1/2 minutes left. Jalen Green followed with a basket for the Rockets, but the Pacers scored the next six points, with the last four from Bitadze to take a 117-115 lead with about 20 seconds to go.

Bitadze was fouled on both his baskets in that stretch but missed both free throws.

Houston had a chance to tie it, but Kevin Porter Jr.'s jump shot in the lane was off. Buddy Hield made two free throws after that before Porter made a 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left to cut it to 1.

But Hield made two more free throws to seal it. KNICKS 100, WIZARDS 97 >> Julius Randle scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, RJ Barrett had 18 points and New York outlasted visiting Washington.

Kentavious CaldwellPo­pe missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Wizards, who have lost their last six games.
